Alan Knox

Alan Knox (b. 1985, United Kingdom) is an artist and photographer based in London. He graduated from The Glasgow School of Art with a BA in Communication Design and in 2020 concluded an MA in Photography Arts from the University of Westminster. His project, ‘The Eternal Return’ explores the dichotomy between the universal and particular. Presenting a non-linear, personal narrative of bereavement, separation and reunification through collaged, archival imagery of dreamscapes and mythic archetypes, the project seeks to question the complicating effect of photographs in the process of mourning and the passing of memories from generation to generation.
