Ann Massal (b.1977, France) is an artist and photographer who holds a PHD in Semiotics at the Sorbonne (Paris) and whose first photobook, The Eye of the Cyclops, won the Deutscher Fotobuchpreis Silver Medal in 2019. Her latest project 'On love, violence & the lack of it' explores the aftermaths of trauma in a way that is never complacent and aims to capture the inescapable tension between past and present, life and death...
