Esméralda Emanuela

Esméralda Emanuela (b. 1996, Netherlands) recently completed her MA in Photography at Luca School of Arts in Genk, Belgium. Her photography mostly includes subjects that relate to the cosmos: by combining factual and fictional works, her images attempt to encourage involvement and participation in our search for the unknown. She works with objects and locations that she considers visually ambiguous. By including surreal or abstract ideas across various disciplines, she effectively tries to create conditions in which – both to herself and to the viewer – the familiar becomes unfamiliar.
