Giacomo Bianco
ITALY
Giacomo Bianco (b. 1994, Italy) is a photographer based in Venice. He graduated from ISIA-U with a BA in Photography and is currently an artist-in-residence at Bevilacqua La Masa (VE), as well as the photographer assistant of Giovanna Silva. His practice is born from the exploration of the natural world, particularly from observing the dynamics of coexistence between human and non-human living beings. With the project “UMANALACUNA” he utopialized a voluntary sinking of the city of Venice that—having become an ecosystem of amphibious inhabitants—would offer the necessary conditions for a reconciliation between its citizens and the water.
