Lilli Weinstein
GERMANY
Lilli Weinstein is currently graduating from the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague. What excites her about photography is that it is an interaction with somebody, with the world outside. As an introverted person, she finds it liberating that the act of photographing allows her to perform what usually remains hidden behind discomfort or social pressure. She uses performative elements in order to search for moments of serendipity and intimacy with the people she photographs. Through topics such as anxiety, desire and failure her work aims to uncover fragile elements of human relationships and to find out about the courage of being vulnerable.
