Mélanie Dornier

Mélanie Dornier (b.1980, France) is a photographer now based in Normandy, France after a long journey through Asia (India and China). Dornier’s practice reflects her interests in identity, memory and human actions; considering herself an observer of social transformation, her projects aim to tell human stories committed to values. Currently, she has moved her approach toward a more subjective angle in creating a sensitive and dreamlike universe. In her last project ‘Magic Powder’, she explored her childhood souvenirs in relation to her daughter’s play between fairytale and decay.
