Petra Basnakova

Petra Basnakova (b. 1997, Slovakia) is a photographer born and raised in the Slovak Republic. She has recently concluded her bachelor’s in photography at the Tomas Bata University in Zlin, Czech Republic. Her interest is mainly focused on documentary photography: of human nature, as well as ideas of longing and belonging in contemporary society. In her latest project ‘Pandemonium’ she became her own muse for the first time, and through intimate self-portraits portrayed the imprisonment in her own mind during the long-lasting quarantine.
