Qianyun Zhang

Qianyun Zhang is a photographer currently based in the Netherlands and China. She has a background in Graphic Design, and studied Photography at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Having lived far away from her homeland and family for close to a decade, Zhang reflects a lot on the topics of the diaspora, belongingness, relationships and identity in her projects. Besides the photographic medium, Zhang often works with film, and also incorporates the use of video and multimedia to add layers and dimensions to her work.
