Raisan Hameed

Raisan Hameed (b.1991, Iraq) is a visual artist based in Leipzig. He studies photography with Tina Bara at the Academy of Fine Arts (HGB) Leipzig. His works deal with the different dimensions of one truth, focusing on making the interior visible whilst identifying himself with the same aspects. The movements in the pictures engage the artist himself in motion and release emotions, creating a dynamic that is very liberating. Hameed’s works have been exhibited in Rotterdam, Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, Roma, UAE Sharjah as well as the Bundeskunsthalle-Bonn.
