Sam De Buysere

Sam De Buysere (b. 2000, Belgium) is a visual researcher currently completing the Photography (Visual Arts) program at KASK, School of Arts, Ghent. His research practice is informed by an interest in raising questions about simulations through geographical/structural intelligence, and the point in our evolving history that we currently find ourselves in. Processes that reoccur and use the same strategies of focusing on physical marks that are left by the systems we use to organize and construct. These questions come forth through themes as the shift from postmodernism to posthumanism, scenery and technology, with the search for a self-reflective character towards the medium playing an important role.
